Sunday Sidekick ("we", "us") is a live fantasy football companion app. We collect as little as we can get away with. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do.

The short version: browsing needs no account. If you create one, we store your email, a username you pick from generated options, an emoji avatar, and the players and teams you track. No ads, no data sales, no tracking across other apps, no location. You can delete your account — and everything with it — inside the app at any time.

1. Information we collect

If you just browse (no account)

Nothing personal. The app fetches live scores, plays and stats from our servers; standard technical logs (IP address, request timing) exist transiently to run and secure the service.

If you create an account

Email address and password. Used to sign you in. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
Username. You pick one of several app-generated names (like "BlitzBaron42"). You cannot write your own, and it cannot be changed. There are no display names or bios — the app has no free-text profile fields at all.
Avatar. A choice from our built-in emoji set. No photo uploads.
Your fantasy stuff. The players you star, the rosters you build, and your preferred scoring system (DraftKings, FanDuel, PPR, Half-PPR, or Standard).
Reactions. Your 🔥/🧊 reactions on play cards.

Stored only on your device (never sent to us)

Display preferences (card style, effects level).
Face ID / biometric app-lock setting. Biometric data itself never leaves your device and is handled entirely by iOS.

2. What we do NOT do

No advertising and no advertising SDKs.
No sale or sharing of personal information — to anyone, ever.
No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites (nothing that would trigger Apple's App Tracking Transparency).
No location collection, no contact access, no photo access.
No profiling, no automated decision-making.

3. How we use information

Solely to run Sunday Sidekick: signing you in, showing your players and rosters, computing your fantasy points, keeping the service secure, and responding when you email support. That's the whole list.

4. Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small number of reputable cloud infrastructure providers — for authentication, database hosting, and backend hosting — acting under contract as processors. They store and process data solely to run Sunday Sidekick and may not use it for anything else.

Live scores, plays and player stats come from a licensed sports-data provider; that pipeline involves game data, not your personal data.

5. Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account inside the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and complete: your email, username, avatar, watchlist, rosters, preferences and reactions are erased, and your email address is freed for future use. You can also email us to request deletion.

6. Age

Sunday Sidekick is intended for users 18 and older (you confirm this during onboarding) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights (including California)

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information at any time — most of it directly in the app, or by emailing support@sundaysidekick.com.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we collect no sensitive personal information. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Requests: email us; we will verify using the email tied to your account.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest with our providers. Access to production data is restricted to what is needed to operate the service.

9. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the date above, and note it in the app where appropriate.
